My name is Ted
Relihan and I've been a guide in Western Colorado for over
15 years now.
In that time I've worked with the best fly shops, outfitters
and lodges in the region. Let me
customize a fly fishing trip for you to sample all the varieties
of streams the area has to offer.
Spend quality time on the water no matter what your ability.
The focus is on learning and
developing your own skills as an angler to get the most out
of wherever you freshwater fly fish.

This is an opportunity for 1-2 individuals
that want to get the most out of their time. Its not about
sitting on a lake and casting for five hours but getting
out there and experiencing the sport. By working with several
outfitters it gives you the opportunity to fish a variety
of water systems and learn what makes them different and
how to fish them. One of the bonuses to having your own
private instructor and guide is the directed study of casting
techniques, stream reading, entomology and fly selection
as well as all the latest in bad jokes. It can be very beneficial
for the enthusiast that doesn't get much time on their own
to fish or for the person just getting into the sport and
wants some instruction before that first destination fly
fishing trip.
If you have a group of people that are interested,
I will hand pick some of the most professional guides I work
with to assist in making it the best day on the water for
everyone involved. All of them are known personally to me
and I respect them for their knowledge of their home waters
and the ability to share and communicate it effectively. Some
of the rivers we can fish are the Roaring Fork River, the
Frying Pan River, the

Colorado and private access water on
the White. There are other destination riversto look into
like The Green and The Gunnison. Other options include great
lodges for hosted destination trips. Depending on what your
wishes are we'll travel to the different rivers and wade or
float with some of the best in the business and learn more
about what it takes to catch trout in the many environments.
See the outfitters links available for information on the
respective areas and then fill out the information page with
your interests.
A 1-2 day trip in a select area can be
fulfilling but for the maximum benefit 3 -5 days is the
most rewarding and can cover more ground. Trip prices vary
depending on where you want to go and if we wade or float.
Its suggested you have your own gear unless prior arrangements
have been made. Breakfast, lunch and flies are included
within reason and I can find great lodging depending on
your needs.
